With smothering defense down the stretch, the Indiana Pacers stymied everybody except Wang Zhi-Zhi.
The Miami Heat's 12th man sank a layup with 10 seconds left for their first basket in more than nine minutes, but Indiana still won 87-65 Monday night.
Jermaine O'Neal had his eighth consecutive double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Pacers, who earned their fifth win in a row.
They frustrated a Miami team coming off a season-high 112 points Friday in a win over Orlando. The Heat shot 33 percent and were held to their lowest point total since Feb. 1, 2003.
``We watched the tape of them against Orlando, and they were hitting everything,'' Indiana's Reggie Miller said. ``They started out this game the same way. We knew we had to get into them defensively and put some hands in their faces.''
The Pacers defeated the Heat for the seventh straight time, including four games in Miami. The Heat trailed 45-41 at halftime, then shot 21 percent in the second half.

``The frustration of the third quarter and all the shots we missed -- we gave
into the frustration a little bit,'' coach Stan Van Gundy said. ``When it went
bad, we lost our heads and didn't stay with our game.''
Miami missed 12 consecutive shots in the fourth quarter before Wang's basket.
The Heat's Lamar Odom had a career-high 18 rebounds but missed 11 of 14 shots and scored just 11 points. Teammate Eddie Jones, who had a season-high 33-point game Friday, was held to 12.
``Balls were just going in and out,'' Odom said. ``You have nights like that.''
The defensive effort was the Pacers' best since they held Denver to 60 points on Nov. 4. They shot only 41 percent but made eight of 21 3-pointers, including three by Ron Artest. He scored 22 points.
Indiana's winning streak has come during an arduous stretch in the schedule. Tuesday's game against Orlando will be the eighth in 11 nights for the Pacers.
``It really doesn't matter,'' Artest said. ``The way we're playing right now, guys just want to go out and play, because we're winning.''
O'Neal's double-double was his 22nd this season. He scored six points during an 11-2 spurt that put the Pacers ahead 56-45, then sank back-to-back baskets for a 70-56 lead.
``Your best players set the tone,'' coach Rick Carlisle said. ``Tonight Artest and O'Neal set the tone at both ends. A lot of times it simply came down to getting those guys the ball and allowing them to make plays.''
Former Miami Hurricanes star James Jones scored his first NBA points on a basket with 6 seconds left for the Pacers. Teammate Al Harrington came off thebench to total 13 points and seven rebounds.
